Supermarket Mania Journey
Today I decided to give Supermarket Mania a test. It's a free download, but as with most free games in the app store, it comes with those pesky in-app purchases.
The game downloads fast enough and were away. Let's see what we have to do in the grocery store on Day 1. My goals are 2 Customers and 500 Income. Let's go!
The aim of the game is to run a supermarket all by yourself. Thats right. Stack the shelves with stock. Deal with the customers at the checkout. Move the empty shopping baskets to the correct place once used. You even need to clean the floor when the customers have traipse mud all over the place!
I must admit, the one job in the real world I wouldn't like to do is work in a supermarket checkout. Yet in this "game" we're doing exactly that, only in a virtual world. In fact, you are doing more than just operating the checkout. You'd think I wouldn't even make it to the end of the 1st task. The iPad should be currently un-installing this game. Yet, strangely, I'm still playing. Stacking shelves. Keeping the customers happy, and keeping the place clean. It's strangely addictive. Which is strange, as I'm sure I should be hating it!
